Established pursuant to a recommendation in the Final Report of the 1985 Special Committee on Reform of the House of Commons.
On May 29, 1996, Bill C-275, An Act Respecting the Canadian Association of Former Parliamentarians received Royal Assent.
Former parliamentarians can visit the Association's new offices located at 131 Queen Street, between O'Connor and Metcalfe, suite 5-65.
