CAFP organized its first study tour for former parliamentarians in 2011. Study tours are educational organized trips for former parliamentarians, intended to give participants an opportunity to see first-hand how democracy works in other countries and connect with former parliamentarians from those countries.
Australia and New Zealand were chosen as the destination of the first study tour, to show solidarity with the people of New Zealand in the wake of the deadly earthquake in Christchurch on February 22, 2011 and to connect with the New Zealand and Australian former parliamentarians' associations. The itinerary is available here. Members in good standing can now log in to view pictures from the trip.
A second study tour is currently being planned for Fall 2012, in Turkey. Details will be posted here as soon as they are available.
